It’s a place to find community. It’s a place to explore how to be in a world injured by climate change. It’s a place to engage in open and challenging discussions about scripture, life, and justice.
We have a regular outdoor gathering called Peace Out(doors) that offers an opportunity to pause, pray, and reflect together. We also offer gatherings like discussion groups, hikes, Bible studies, service opportunities, and social meetups.
Intertwined is committed to being a safe space for our siblings who are part of the LGBTQ community. We work together to pursue ecological justice, but understand that justice pursuits are intersectional.
By design, Intertwined has no building, but we are based in the greater Harrisburg (PA) vicinity. We rotate meeting spaces; Peace Out(doors) usually takes place in local parks, and our other activities often occur at public spaces like restaurants.
Intertwined is part of the 1001 New Worshiping Communities initiative of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Oversight is provided by the Presbytery of Carlisle. Other partners include Market Square Presbyterian Church and the Synod of the Trinity.
