Kevin grew up in Northwest Ohio, and received degrees from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where he met his wife, Jennifer. He has been a teacher and a school psychologist, and he retired from a 20-year career in cyber security in 2020.

Kevin has been active in faith communities throughout his life, and in 2018 received a call to attend seminary. One of the concentrations in his studies there was how and why the Christian church is changing. During his third year of seminary, he began receiving inspiration to create a space in which people could explore their faith and its relationship to the environment. He thus began the discernment process that led to formation of Intertwined.

He received his MDiv from Lancaster Theological Seminary in 2022. He is an ordained minister of Word and Sacrament with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Kevin and Jennifer live near Harrisburg and have a daughter in college. He enjoys being outdoors, reading, photography, comic books, watching Formula E racing, and putting googly eyes on things.
